Snowdon, North Wales      Beddgelert

This is an outstanding location in the Snowdonia National Park. Here you can enjoy superb mountain walks to the summits of Mount Snowdon, Glyder Fach, Moel Hebog and Cnicht. The village of Beddgelert is steeped in Welsh myth and legend. In the Welsh language "Bedd" means "grave" and "Gelert" refers to the faithful hound of the medieval Welsh Prince Llewelyn the Great.  

2020 Dates
: Guided walking Holidays weekly starting Fridays from May - October. 
Walkers stay at the same hotel for seven nights.  Days start and end with a short bus ride so the walks are in the most spectacular parts of the island.  Three different guided walks are offered each day. You choose according to your fitness and ability.                        

High season prices start at 809 GBP per person based on double occupancy. (approximately $1375 Cdn)
Non-member associate fee 10 GBP per person.
Single rooms with no single supplement are offered but with limited availability.

Seven nights first class accommodation with private bath
Three meals a day
Guided walking programme with a choice of three walks daily
Transportation in conjunction with the walks

Walking: . A choice of three guided walks are offered alternating each week..

  •    Easier walks      5 – 7 miles                          up to 1250 ft of ascent over a day.
  •    Medium walks   6 –  8 miles                         up to 2700 ft of ascent over a day.
  •    Harder walks     7  – 11.5 miles                     up to 3700 ft of ascent over a day.
When you are not walking:  The picturesque village of Beddgelert is about a mile away.  The Welsh Highland Railway runs through Beddgelert and is a spectacular ride. Within an hour's drive there are many castles such as Harlech and Caemarfon.
Accommodation:

 CRAFLWYN HALL.  is a charming historic building leased from the National Trust.  Situated at the heart of an extensive estate it occupies a wonderful position at the base of Snowdon, 1 mile from the village of Beddgelert.  The open fires and period features create a relaxed and cozy atmosphere for sociable evenings.  There is also a well-equipped drying room for your outdoor gear. 

Non-smoking rooms have private bathroom, TV, wifi, hairdryer.

All meals are included with a hot or cold breakfast buffet, a generous self-select picnic lunch and a hearty three-course evening meal. There is always a vegetarian option..
