Guided Walking in Britain and Ireland

Isle of Wight       Freshwater Bay

Located off the southern coast of England, the Isle of Wight is a 35 minute ferry ride from the port of Lymington. The Isle of Wight offers golden beaches, forests and open meadows as well as gardens and historic sites. Carisbrooke Castle is a majestic medieval ruin. Osborne House, near Cowes, was built as Queen Victoria's country retreat and Yarmouth is a seductive port with narrow lanes and stone quays. Walking highlights include a path through Afton Nature Reserve and along an old railway line, a walk along the coast climbing through woodland to the Neolithic Long Stone.

2020 Classic Walking Holidays operate weekly starting Saturdays from April through October. Walkers stay at the same hotel for seven nights.
