Dorset Coast    Lulworth Cove


Set on the beautiful Dorset Coast, Lulworth Cove is a popular English destination with stunning local scenery and spectacular coastal walks. The Cove itself is a near-perfect circle which has been carved by the waves into the soft rocks. A 20 minute walk along the cliff path takes you to Durdle Door, the area's geological wonder. When you are not walking there are castles to visit.  Situated just a few miles inland, Lulworth Castle is a 17th century mock medieval castle. The iconic ruins of Corfe Castle stand guard over a natural gap in the Purbeck Hills.

2022: Classic Walking Holidays operate weekly starting Fridays from May – October.
Walkers stay at the same hotel for seven nights. Days start and end with a short bus ride so the walks are in the most spectacular parts of the countryside  Two different guided walks are offered each day.

High Season prices start at  999 GBP per person for one week based on double occupancy. (approximately $1790 Cdn) 
Non-member associate fee  30 GBP per person.
Single rooms with no single supplement are offered but with limited availability.

Includes:
Seven nights first class accommodation with private bath
Three meals a day
Guided walking programme with a choice of three walks daily
Transportation in conjunction with the walks

Walks:  include cliff-top paths, beach, riverside and woods as well as villages.
Two choices of guided walks are offered each day.

  • Easier walks    .5 -7.5 miles         up to1000 ft of ascent over a day.
  • Harder walks    8 - 12 miles          up to 1800 ft of ascent over a day.

    When you are not walking:
    Enjoy the pubs and cafes in the hamlet of Lulworth Cove. Explore castles in the region. Ride the restored Swanage steam Railway.  Visit Thomas Hardy's cottage. Take a ferry to an island nature reserve.

     
    ACCOMMODATION:

    LULWORTH HOUSE,     is located in the village of West Lulworth with views of the nearby sea. Non smoking rooms have private bath, TV, wifi and hairdryers. 

    All meals are included with a hot or cold breakfast buffet, a generous self-select picnic lunch and a hearty three-course evening meal. There is always a vegetarian option..
