This spectacular walking location overlooks Conistonwater (lake) with stunning mountain views.  On the walks you can ascend the famous summits of the Lake District or walk by scenic lakes and visit the attractive villages of Grasmere and Hawkshead.

High Season prices start from 945 GBP (Great Britain Pounds) per person for one week based on double occupancy  (approximately $1700 Cdn)
Non-member associate fee            30 GBP per person.
Single rooms with no single supplement are offered but with limited availability.

Seven nights first class accommodation with private bath
Three meals a day
Guided walking programme with a choice of three walks daily
Transportation in conjunction with the walks

Walkers stay at the same hotel for a week. Days start and end with a short bus ride so the walks are in the most spectacular parts of the region.  Three different guided walks are offered each day. You choose according to your fitness and ability. You can change walking levels each day if you wish.

A choice of three guided walks is offered each day.

  • Low level walks: 6 – 9 miles                         12500 ft of ascent.
  • Medium walks   7 – 10.5 miles                      2550 ft of ascent
  • Harder walks     8.5 – 12.5  miles                   3800 ft of ascent


    When you are not walking:  Discover the area's literary connections with Wordsworth, Ruskin and Beatrix Potter
ACCOMMODATION:  Monk Coniston is an elegant property at the edge of the lake with wonderful views of the countryside. It is a romantic hotel with traditional touches like a minstrel gallery and conservatory. Rooms have private bathroom, TV, wifi and hairdryer.

 
All meals are included with a hot or cold breakfast buffet, a generous self-select picnic lunch and a hearty three-course evening meal. There is always a vegetarian option
