Discover Moorish Spain and the verdant lower slopes of the Sierra Nevada dotted with pretty white villages. This region near Granada offers wonderful walking through dramatic landscapes and a chance to discover the best of Andalucia . From history and architecture to heart food, the Alpujarras is a mix of culture, gastronomy and great walking. One sightseeing day takes us to the fabled town of Granada with its famous Alhambra Palace and the Cathedral and Royal Chapel where the bodies of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabel (sponsors of Columbus) are buried.

Non-member associate fee is 10 GBP per person.

•    Harder walks     7 to 9 miles with some rocky sections. Up to 2,500ft of ascent in a day.
•    Easier walks     4½ to 7½ miles with some rocky sections. Up to 1,250ft of ascent in a day.
