Croatia Itinerary
   
Itinerary from Trogir/Split to Dubrovnik  (Itinerary reverses when starting in Dubrovnik)
1. Trogir
The port of Trogir is just a short taxi-ride from Split Airport.
The Romantica welcomes guests starting at 1 PM. A guided tour then gives us a chance to explore the historic old town with its narrow walkways, medieval fortifications and many legends.  In the evening we cruise to Omis where we spend the first night.


2. Brac and Hvar  (12 miles or 18 miles)
This morning we cruise to the island of Brac, famous for its precious limestone that has been used in many important buildings like the White House in Washington and the German Reichstag. In Brac,we cycle along the picturesque northern coast from Postira to Milna. Before meeting the boat at Milna we enjoy wonderful views of the islands. We then board the boat and enjoy lunch as we cruise to the artists' town of Stari Grad on the Island of Hvar. On arrival we have a second bike ride to the seaside town of Jelsa. After a break for coffee or ice cream, we return to Stari Grad where we spend the night.

3. Hvar and Korcula (13 miles)
Today's cycling leads us from Stari Grad to the capital of Hvar on the opposite side of the island. Our route goes through lavender fields and small villages. On arrival we have s stroll in Hvar before boarding the boat for lunch and cruising to the harbour town of Vela Luka on the Island of Korcula where we spend the night.

4. Korcula (37 miles)
Today we cycle across the charming island of Korcula to Korcula City. Here, we have a guided tour, meet our boat and spend the night.

5. Korcula and Lastovo (17 miles)
We leave Korcula and cruise to the tranquil island of Lastovo. Enroute we enjoy a swim and lunch. The island of Lastovo is one of the smaller inhabited islands with a population of 800. We explore by bike and spend the night in the secluded harbour.

6. Mijet  (18 miles)
We have breakfast as we cruise to the green island of Mijet. Homer mentioned this island in his epic poem The Odyssey with Odysseus spending seven years because he could not resist the nymph Calypso. After a swim and lunch we arrive in the harbour of Pomena and enjoy a bike ride through the Mijet National Park. We then spend the night in Pomena.

7. MIjet  Dubrovnik (20 miles)
From Pomena we cycle the length of this wonderfully vegetated island. Our boat awaits in the harbour of Sobra where we embark for our final destination, the city of Dubrovnik. On arrival, there is plenty of time to explore the UNESCO world heritage city and have a guided tour. Dinner on board and spend the night.
