Walkers' World
Guided Walking and Sightseeing

2018 Dates:
Jan 29 - Feb 08,     March 19 - 29

In 1492 Christopher Columbus described the island of Cuba as ‘the most lovely that eyes have ever seen’. Now, more then five hundred years later, the island is equally enchanting. Our exploration starts with city walks in Old Havana with its architectural treasures, gracious promenades, hip-swaying music, friendly people, vintage cars and revolutionary culture. From here we continue to the National Parks of Western Cuba. Here, Cuba’s emphasis on conservation has preserved timeless rural beauty. A network of walking trails wanders amid tropical forest that is home to wild orchids and exotic birds - it is a nature lover’s delight. Next we transfer by private bus to a beach-front hotel near the colonial town of Trinidad. With this as a base, our walks are amid old coffee plantations and in the remote Sierra del Escambray mountains.

  • Exploring Old Havana
  • Walking in the beautiful Sierra del Escambray
  • Hearing tales of revolution and exploits of Che Guevara
  • Visiting colonial Trinidad
