Teachers' Travel                     Escorted Cultural Tours

Do I have to be a teacher?
No. Definitely not. Our escorted cultural tours are for people from all professions - not just teachers.

Why is it called Teachers Travel?
The company was founded in 1970 by a group of former teachers.

Can I buy just the tour without the airfare from Toronto?
Yes. We can sell just the land portion or we can book flights from other cities.

Can I fly in first class?
Our group flights are in economy class but often there are upgrades available at a surcharge. Air Canada also offers a Premium Economy class with a little extra legroom.

What is special about Teachers' Travel tours?
Our tour guides are carefully chosen. Just like good teachers, good guides can arouse the tour members’ curiosity to learn about history, to discover new ways of looking at the world and to have fun while learning.
Our hotels are first class, comfortable and in good locations.
We think that good food is important and understand that many people need special diets for medical reasons. We do our best to cater to these needs.

Is there a lot of walking?
This is not a hiking holiday but exploration of the sites is done on foot. The footing can be uneven on cobblestones. The holiday is not suitable for anyone with serious mobility issues.

Can I arrive independently?
If you arrive at Naples Airport at the same time as the group we will be happy to transport you to the hotel with the group. If this is not possible, the hotel can arrange a taxi (cost 125 euros) or public buses run regularly from Naples Airport to Sorrento bus station for 10 euros.

Can I get a non-smoking room?
The entire hotel is non-smoking.

What about food allergies?
Most special diets can be catered for.

Why Travel?
”Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Explore. Discover.”  -- Mark Twain

”The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” -- St Augustine.
