Amsterdam to Bruges


Travelling by barge and bicycle is a great way to explore the countryside of Holland and Belgium. Stay on a Dutch barge on the canals and each day have a guided cycling tour on quiet roads and cycle paths with mostly flat terrain in the Green Heart of Holland. See old Dutch towns like Gouda and Willemstad and the world famous line of 19 windmills at Kinderdijk. From the lively port of Antwerp continue across flat Flemish countryside to Ghent.

Five different barges run regularly from Amsterdam to Bruges (Ghent). The trip takes seven days
from Saturday to Saturday - then the barges return the following week from Bruges to Amsterdam.
You can take the barge in either direction starting in Amsterdam or Bruges (Ghent)

Guests stay on the barge and enjoy six days of guided cycling along quiet cycle paths and country roads.
A leader cycles the route, however route descriptions are provided for those who prefer to cycle independently. .

There are three categories of barges:

Comfort Plus Magnifique     twin beds   17 cabins ( 11 standard, 2 single, 4 premium)
Magnifique II  twin beds  18 cabins  ( 13 standard, 1 single,  4 suites )
Comfort Sarah   twin beds 10 cabins.
  Fluvius    twin beds   19 cabins
Standard  Tijdgeest  double beds, twin beds or bunk beds  14 cabins

All cabins have private toilet and shower and are air conditioned,  Non smoking.
